Order a buffet: three suggestions, your own menu, or both
A long table full of bowls and platters where everyone finds something they like: anyone who wants to order a buffet in Oberberg can choose at Waldhotel Wiehl between three suggestions from €42.50 to €59.50 per person, or have an individual menu put together.
For celebrations at the hotel
All buffets are made for your celebration at Waldhotel, from a birthday and a wedding celebration to a company celebration. Prices apply per person (as of 2025).

All buffets are suggestions. On request we adapt them with you or create an individual menu.
Buffet No. 1, cold and hot
€42.50 per person. Homemade dripping spread (Griebenschmalz), smoked salmon, salads, braised veal shoulder, pork fillet and a dessert in a glass to finish. All dishes
Buffet No. 2, cold and hot
€48.50 per person. Hummus platter, smoked fish platter, pike-perch fillet, whole roast beef and a vegetarian Maultaschen curry for guests without meat. All dishes
Buffet No. 3, Mediterranean
€59.50 per person. Antipasti, Spanish tapas, mezze, salmon fillet, prawns and ox cheeks in port wine sauce. All dishes

Buffet No. 1
Cold and hot, with smoked salmon and veal shoulder
Bread basket
Bread basket, homemade dripping spread (Griebenschmalz), herb quark, herb butter.
Cold dishes
Smoked salmon, herring fillet, creamed horseradish; small cold schnitzels, mini meatballs; melon, ham; tomato and mozzarella, basil; farmer’s salad with shepherd’s cheese, bean salad, coleslaw, pasta salad; leaf salad with yoghurt dressing and herb vinaigrette.
Hot dishes
Braised veal shoulder, Esterhazy sauce; chicken roulades filled with spinach; pork fillet, creamy mushroom sauce; gnocchi, sage butter, Parmesan; cauliflower, broccoli vegetables, Béarnaise sauce; sautéed potatoes, buttered rice, croquettes.
Dessert in glasses
Tiramisu, peach and passion fruit cream.

Fish and roast beef, alternating between cold and hot

Hummus platter with various vegetables; colourful smoked fish platter, creamed horseradish; spicy crab salad with mango; avocado, tomato, mozzarella; poultry curry salad in a glass; raw vegetable platter, herb quark.
Hot dishes
Pike-perch fillet with tomato, garlic, onions and olives; whole roast beef, pink, with onion crust and pepper sauce; pork fillet, light mustard sauce, apple, shallot; vegetarian Maultaschen curry; cauliflower, glazed carrots, broccoli vegetables, Béarnaise sauce; rosemary potatoes, buttered rice, chips.
Dessert
Raspberry cream, mousse au chocolat, cheeseboard.

Mediterranean, from antipasti to ox cheeks

Cold dishes
Various Italian antipasti; Italian pasta salad; mixed smoked fish platter with creamed horseradish and cranberry cream; pink roast beef, remoulade sauce; fennel and orange salad French style; Spanish tapas: Pimientos de Padrón, Champiñones al Jerez, chorizo, prunes wrapped in bacon, Jamón Serrano; mezze: baba ganoush, hummus, ajvar; avocado, tomato, pomegranate, mini börek, samosas, kibbeh, falafel.
Hot dishes
Salmon fillet with herb crust on champagne cabbage; penne with fried prawns in lobster sauce; Andalusian chicken pan; ox cheeks in port wine sauce; vegetarian and vegan: vegetable curry with chickpeas, spicy; colourful vegetables fried in garlic and olive oil; rosemary potatoes, buttered rice, croquettes.
Dessert
Bavarian cream with berry topping, wine cream, cheese.

Business meeting package
€48.00 per person and day for room hire, standard technology, drinks, a fresh boost and a light, wholesome lunch.
Premium meeting package
€73.00 per person and day with an additional dinner as a 3-course menu.

Both are possible. You decide what we may delight you with; on request, we will create an individual menu.
How much do the buffets cost?
Buffet No. 1 costs €42.50, Buffet No. 2 €48.50 and Buffet No. 3 €59.50 per person (prices 2025, status 2026 on request).
Are there vegetarian and vegan dishes?
Yes, for example the vegetarian Maultaschen curry in Buffet No. 2 and the spicy vegetable curry with chickpeas in Buffet No. 3. If you prefer a light diet or vegan cuisine, please simply speak to us.
