Restaurant in Wiehl: from the wildlife park straight to your table
First through the stalactite cave or the wildlife park, then to your table: our restaurant in Wiehl at Pfaffenberg 1 is right next door, just a few steps away. In the dining room you sit in festive comfort, in the Schänke the open fireplace keeps you warm, and on the sunny terrace the food tastes even better in the open air.
From our kitchen comes traditional home cooking with Mediterranean influences. Besides the classic menu there are changing special menus and buffet evenings, vegetarian and vegan dishes, a menu of their own for children, and on request a senior plate with smaller side dishes, €1.50 cheaper. Among the classics are Waldhotel tapas for two, fillet steak, Zurich-style sliced veal and regional trout meunière; vegetarians might try the chickpea and vegetable curry. Every dish with its price is on the menu of the Waldhotel, the drinks on the drinks menu. For two by candlelight there is the candle-light dinner, and 3- and 4-course menus are part of our packages.
Just drop in: guests from outside are welcome, no reservation is needed, and large groups are warmly invited too. How do I reserve a table?
A reservation is not necessary, and large groups are also welcome. If you would like to be sure, please reserve using the form on the reserve a table page or by telephone on +49 2262 7920.
When is the kitchen open?
The restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday, with the kitchen open until 10 pm. The current times are in the “Opening hours” table above on this page. From 1 January 2027 we are open daily from 5.30 pm to 10 pm.
Are there vegetarian or vegan dishes?
Yes, there are vegetarian and vegan dishes. The vegetarian dishes are marked on the menu.
Where can I eat at Pfaffenberg in Wiehl?
