Say yes in the stalactite cave, then toast, feast and dance in the hall, and in the end everyone stays right here in the house: as a wedding venue in the Oberberg region we offer you all of this in one place, for up to 120 guests.
Ceremony and celebration close together
The stalactite cave is right by the hotel, and couples have been getting married there at the registry office since 2002. Afterwards it is only a few steps to the celebration at the Waldhotel. How the ceremony works is explained under getting married in the cave.
Civil or free ceremony
A civil ceremony in the cave is possible, and so is a symbolic ceremony. The celebration takes place at the hotel, where the couple and their guests can also stay overnight.
A wedding surrounded by nature
The forest grows around the house, and Wiehl Wildlife Park borders it. This is where photos in natural light are taken, and on the terrace you toast with your guests in the open air.
Large and small parties

Can you have a civil ceremony in the stalactite cave?
Yes, the ceremony is conducted by the Wiehl registry office. We will be happy to plan the on-site schedule with you.
How many guests can be accommodated?
We celebrate with up to 120 guests; for smaller parties, we have additional rooms.
Can our guests stay overnight at the hotel?
Yes, in 30 rooms, bookable individually and directly, or as a room block on request.
Can you view the rooms beforehand?
Any time in the 360° tour, on site by arrangement.
What does a wedding at the Waldhotel cost?
The total price depends on the number of guests, the food and the room. We create wedding packages individually by arrangement and do not quote guide prices. The cave costs a €110 usage fee.
Does the bridal couple stay overnight free of charge?
For wedding celebrations in the hotel with 20 people or more, the bridal couple’s overnight stay in the wedding suite is a gift from the hotel.

Ceremony in the cave
The usage fee for the cave is €110, plus the registry office fees.
Food
Wedding packages are available individually by arrangement, and we put together a buffet or a menu of your own with you. What is on offer is shown under order a buffet in the Oberberg region.
Wedding suite
If you celebrate with at least 20 people in the house, we give the couple the night in the wedding suite as a gift.
