Celebrate in Wiehl: hall, Schänke and terrace under one roof
A hall for up to 120 people, salons and the fireplace room for smaller groups: at Pfaffenberg 1 you will find the room that suits your party, and celebrating in the middle of the woods is wonderfully relaxed.
We plan with you
You tell us the occasion, date and approximate number of guests, and we make the proposal. As a celebration venue in Wiehl we plan the room, decoration, food, service and accommodation together with you. We show the occasions further down, and for family parties see family celebrations in the Oberberg region.
Banqueting hall with Schänke and terrace
The hall can be transformed in many ways, and like all our rooms it has daylight. Right next door are the Schänke and the outdoor area among the greenery, and on the terrace you can barbecue.
Parking and overnight stays
Free parking is close to the house. If you are not driving after the party, simply go to your room: 30 are ready, all reachable by lift. More under rooms in Wiehl.

Buffet or menu: you decide what comes to the table
Choose a buffet or put together a menu of your own with us, and we will treat your guests exactly to their taste.
Buffet No. 1 – cold and hot
Homemade dripping spread in the bread basket, cold platters with smoked salmon and salads, warm dishes including braised veal shoulder and pork fillet, and a dessert in a glass to finish.

Buffet No. 2 – cold and hot
Hummus platter, smoked fish platter and prawn salad with mango, warm pike-perch fillet, pink roast beef with onion crust and vegetarian Maultaschen curry, and for dessert raspberry cream, chocolate mousse and a cheese board.

Buffet No. 3 – Mediterranean
Antipasti, Spanish tapas and mezze to start, warm salmon fillet with herb crust, penne with prawns, ox cheeks in port wine sauce and a spicy chickpea vegetable curry, and to finish Bavarian cream and cheese.

How many guests fit in the hall?
Family celebrations are possible with 10 to 120 people; in the Grand Hall you can celebrate with up to 120 people. For smaller gatherings we have stylish salons and the fireplace room.
Buffet or menu – what is possible?
Both. You decide whether you would like a buffet or an individual menu; suggestions with prices can be found above under “Buffets & menus”.
Can we use the outdoor area?
Yes, the green outdoor area with barbecue option on the terrace can be included in your celebration.
How much does a celebration at the Waldhotel cost?
That depends on the room, food and number of guests. Three buffet suggestions are available from €42.50 per person (prices 2025, 2026 status on request).
Can guests stay overnight in the hotel?
Yes, the hotel has 30 rooms. Free parking spaces are located very close by.
