Seasons
A good reason to go outside in every season
From spring to autumn the cave beckons, in summer the water, in autumn the forest. In winter the cave closes, but the wellness area is waiting.
Spring and autumn
The stalactite cave opens for guided tours from spring to autumn, every hour between 10 am and 4 pm. The circular paths in the forest and the forest climate trail in the wildlife park go well with this.
Summer
For swimming, head to the Aggertalsperre, mainly from May to September. If you like it cool, go into the cave, where it is about 8 °C all year round. More under reservoirs in the Oberberg region.
Winter
The cave takes a winter break, but hiking, ice skating at the Wiehl ice rink and the sauna in the hotel remain. More under winter holiday in the Bergisches Land.
Rain
The guided tour through the cave takes place in all weathers. You will find more ideas for wet days under day trip in the rain in the Oberberg region.
