Grandparents, parents, children and cousins around one long table, the forest outside and plenty of room to talk inside: as a family celebration venue in Oberberg, Waldhotel Wiehl welcomes you with a hall or salon, a buffet or menu, and rooms for everyone who would rather not drive home afterwards.

  • Space for a small family or a big one

    Families celebrate with us in groups of 10 to 120 people. The Grand Hall seats up to 120 guests. If only the closer circle gathers, you sit in Salon I, Salon II or the Fireplace Room, and daylight reaches every room. To see which room suits you, visit the celebration venue in Wiehl page.

  • You celebrate, we take care of the rest

    We plan the room, decoration, food and drinks to your wishes and put great care into atmospheric table decoration. Our service team looks after your guests throughout the day, so you have time for the people who matter to you.

  • A bed just next door

    The hotel has 30 rooms. Guests who travel a long way are only a few steps from their room after the party and have breakfast in the hotel the next morning: hotel with breakfast in Wiehl.

    You call or write to us with a few words on the occasion, date and number of guests.

  2. Proposal

    We reply with a proposal for the room, food and decoration, which you can adjust at your own pace.

  3. Celebration

    You enjoy the day with your family, and our service team takes care of the rest.

  4. Overnight stay possible

    If you would rather not drive after the toast, simply stay in the hotel.

Around your celebration

Wildlife park before the meal, skittle alley after it

The stalactite cave and the wildlife park are right next to the hotel, and the skittle alley is in the hotel itself. That keeps the day varied for children and adults alike.

  • Wildlife park

    Wildpark Wiehl is freely accessible and open all day. The circular route is about 1.8 kilometres long and makes a pleasant walk before or after the meal.

  • Stalactite cave

    A guided tour takes about 45 minutes and leads down 26 steps; the cave is closed in winter. You will find tickets and times on the cave’s website.

  • Skittles

    There are two skittle alleys in the hotel. You book the alley by the hour, ideally by phone: skittle alley in Wiehl.
